Gangster Squad and Hangover pt3 were both lame films but still not the worst of the year. Here are my top 10 that were truely pathetic and i actually felt bad after watching them: Movie 43, Red 2, The Family, The Zero Theorem, Olympuss has fallen, Kick Ass 2, the Bling Ring, RIPD, Upstream Color, Hansel & Gretel. These flicks made all other shite films i saw this year like oscar contenders.

I'm talking about Black Rock, of course. The last line of your review of this film says " if you like your scares smart, and like them to happen to people you actually care about, then Aselton's island of friendship and fury is a nice place to visit". So, sure, this doesn't seem like best-of-year material, but it sure as hell doesn't sound like worst-of material either.

So, really, I'm just wondering how a movie can get a B- score and a largely positive review and STILL wind up dishonorably mentioned at the end of the year. WTF?

Personally, I would name "C.O.G." the worst film of the year, and have in several places…what a load of crap for someone as terrific as Jonathan Groff to waste his time on….completely and utterly unfunny, repellent characters, completely phony in tone and feel, and 88 minutes of my life I will NEVER get back…and if you don't believe me, ask the other 150 or so people I saw it with…I don't think ANYONE liked it, judging from the large amount of grumbling coming from everyone leaving the festival I saw it at…
