If you're including movies made for TV (HBO's '61*') on your list, then I would modestly ask that instead of including a movie with a fictional take on the Negro Leagues ('Bingo Long'), you substitute my HBO film 'Soul of the Game' which told the (mostly) true story using the real characters of Satchel Paige (played be Delroy Lindo), Josh Gibson (Mykelti Williamson) and Jackie Robinson (Blair Underwood).

I haven't watched it in very long time, but I have fond memories of Rookie of the Year. Though I'm sure it doesn't hold up as well as The Sandlot.

I would add "The Rookie" on the list and drop Cobb. I would also add the original "Kid From Left Field" with Dan Dailey. I realize it is fluff and fuzzy but I saw it when I was 9 . I fantasized for years about being a bat boy.
