1. Robert Redford was not only nominated for his first directorial feature -  he won. So that must be included in the other mentions, of course.

2. Peter Cattaneo DID get a Best Director nod for The Full Monty. 

3. Whiplash is not Damien Chazelle\&#039;s debut feature, it\&#039;s his second.

4. &#034;Rachel, Rachel&#034;, Paul Newman\&#039;s debut feature as a director got a Best Picture nomination, so that should be included in the mentions.

5. The same goes for Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise, the two directors of &#034;Beauty and the Beast&#034;.]]></description>
