They’re fun. Cute, even. This is really not something worth getting worked up over. They’re just movie posters. This movie will literally have dozens of posters, is it really a big deal if a few of them are jokey? Jeez.

I read and thoroughly enjoyed the book, looked forward to the movie. Thus far, everything I’ve seen in the marketing makes no sense whatsoever and completely misses what made the book so good. The source material is unrecognizable to me.

Those are, indeed, terrible. I hope that Spielberg somehow subverts this whole thing and makes a point about how horribly stupid this 80s/90s nostalgia trip has gotten. I doubt it will happen, but I hope.
