I have been disappointed in almost every Smith film post-Chasing Amy but this movie for some reason makes me feel optimistic. I have no idea why but Smith doing a completely independently financed movie once again and finally abandoning the comedy genre in which he had been spinning his wheels after running out of unique interesting stories in that genre for the last 10 years just feels RIGHT. My gut says this will be his comeback movie, at least in terms of critical perception.

this guy is such a clown. on Friday he twittered there\’d be no soundtrack..that it didn\’t \”feel\” like the film (because his first choice, the guy who scored DOGMA) wasn\’t available…and now he\’s saying metal? again…a CLOWN.
