The panel was moderated by actor/director Todd McCarthy for some reason (“The Station Agent,” “The Visitor”) and to be perfectly honest, the footage looked excellent; funny, thrilling — like a deeply irreverent and filthy version of “The Lord Of The Rings” made by some of the core guys who created “Pineapple Express.” The picture looks like a blast and if Universal markets this thing correctly — what do they really have to do other than let it sell itself — they should have a pretty decent-sized hit on their hands.

The biggest adjustment comes to David Gordon Green’s upcoming medieval stoner comedy “Your Highness.” Starring Danny McBride, Zooey Deschanel, Natalie Portman, James Franco, Justin Theroux the film, originally slated to be released on October 1st, will now hit theaters on April 8th, 2011.
No reason has been given for the delay, but speaking at SXSW back in March, Green did mention the film was “a tough shoot” and with “huge special effects,” saying the film was “by far the most expensive movie, by about double, of anything I’ve ever done.

During a SXSW panel in Austin, Texas moderated by The Hollywood Reporter’s Jay Fernandez, Green spoke about several of these projects and the misinformation on the Internet, noting that one project — called “The Precious View” — is actually an old demolition derby project he and Danny McBride wrote more than a decade ago called, “The Precious Few” (which seemed to gain some small traction in 2008).
