Recently, the first footage for “Matrix 4” was shown at CinemaCon and the official title was announced as “The Matrix: Resurrections,” an obvious nod to the titling of previous sequels, “The Matrix: Reloaded” and “The Matrix: Revolutions.”

Though the title might be similar, there is one major difference between the first three ‘Matrix’ films and the upcoming ‘Resurrections.’ We’re all excited for the return of director Lana Wachowski, who is co-writing and directing the latest sequel, but outside of a couple of quick comments made by her sister, we’ve been curious why co-director/sibling Lilly Wachowski decided to sit on the sidelines.

The Showtime LGBTQ comedy series “Work in Progress” created by and starring Chicago improv mainstay Abby McEnany and co-written by Wachowski, which is set to premiere later this year.

We have Wachowskis-related news, but sadly, there’s no mention of a new “Matrix” film. Instead, Showtime has decided to team with one half of the duo, Lilly Wachowski, for a new comedy series set to debut soon.

According to Variety, Lilly Wachowski is teaming with Abby McEnany and Tim Mason on a new series titled “Work in Progress.” Wachowski will co-write and executive produce the comedy series that stars McEnany as a queer woman in Chicago that is going through a rough time, but finds herself in a transformative relationship.
