Because in the new film, Joy (deGuzman) is a sex and love addict and has asked Maddie (Leo) to be her sponsor and things aren’t as easy as either of them had hoped.

“Unlovable” follows Joy through her friendships with Maddie and Jim (John Hawkes) who appear to be estranged siblings.
