Since no one cares about her new album “Bionic” or the Lada Gaga aping video for “Not Myself Tonight” that it spawned, Christina Aguilera is probably hoping that the upcoming musical “Burlesque” will save her career. A first look at the film has arrived and well, it pretty much looks like a feature-length version of that “Lady Marmalade” video. The film, which follows a small town girl who finds her calling in life by burlesque dancing, will hit theaters on November 24th.

James Franco Writing Raunchy ‘Goonies’-Like Script For Judd Apatow

We should get paid for Apatow publicity.

Producer/writer/director Judd Apatow is a smart and crafty dude. Not only does he have a stable of extremely loyal actors (he gave these guys careers), he’s basically created a veritable cottage industry of talent by getting two’fers and putting them to work to write “comedy of embarrassment” scripts for him to make and get rich off (they basically get rich when they sign on for other projects like Muppet movies).

‘Iron Man’ Soundtrack Won’t Feature Your Favorite Black Sabbath Song

What? A soundtrack to “Iron Man” and no titular Black Sabbath song? Yup, it’s true. In fact, all the hard rockin’ songs in the trailer – AC/DC’s “Back In Black,” Filter’s “Hey Man, Nice Shot,” Audioslave’s “Cochise,” and Curve’s “Hell Above Water” (from the 2001 album The Gift) – are absent from the soundtrack and that’s likley cause they won’t be featured in the film.

Due May 6 on Lion’s Gate records, the soundtrack disc mostly features score from composer Ramin Djawadi (“Prison Break”) as well as several “bonus tracks” including nervy skate-punk classic “Institutionalized” by Suicidal Tendencies (“All he wanted was a Pepsi!”).

David Gordon Green Gets Stoned For ‘Pineapple Express’; Seth Rogen and James Franco In Tow

David Gordon Green, director of such lyrical and atmospheric fare as “George Washington” and “All The Real Girls,” is making a… stoner comedy? Yup, despite a failed-attempt at Hollywood with the adaptation of “A Confederacy of Dunces,”Green is making what will surely be his most mainstream movie, “The Pineapple Express.” The film re-teams much of the “Freaks & Geeks” team, “40-Year-Old Virgin” producer Judd Apatow, and actors, Seth Rogan (the lead in this summer’s soon-to-be smash, “Knocked Up“) and James Franco (Harry Osborn in the “Spiderman” franchise) as pot-smoking buddies who get mixed up with a drug gang.
