Gibson was seemingly persona non-grata during the #MeToo movement, a sort of belated punishment for his past tabloid transgressions that hit in 2009 (racist, sexist, anti-semitic rants the actor has never been able to shake off), but Hollywood is fickle. #MeToo started in earnest in 2017. Just one year prior, Gibson’s “Hacksaw Ridge” was nominated for six Oscars at the 89th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor for Andrew Garfield.

Look, with all due respect to Topher Grace, as he is a fine talent that is really smart and passionate about film (why else would you spend hours re-editing the ‘Star Wars’ franchise?), he’s not a “normal” celebrity actor guy. And that perception only gets validated further after hearing him talk about an incident between he and a fan during a screening of the oft-forgotten “Predators.”

Speaking to PeopleTV, Grace talked about a particular screening for the 2010 sci-fi action film, “Predators.” In the film, the actor plays a character that is revealed to be a bit of a madman murderer, but there was one scene that took a lot of emotional output from Grace that caused a heckler in the theater to speak up and annoy him.

Though it might not have been the earth-shattering series that CBS All Access hoped for (the platform is apparently keeping the lights on thanks to its various ‘Star Trek‘ series), Jordan Peele’s reboot of “The Twilight Zone” was a pretty good hit for the streaming service, as well as a fairly critically-acclaimed new series. The popularity was enough for CBS to at least commission a new batch of episodes, which we finally have learned more about today.

But though the premise of “BlacKkKlansman” might be outlandish, it is based in fact, or rather on “some fo’ real fo’ real shit” as the intro tells us, in that bouncy Lee-esque vernacular that, for the generation electrified by “Do the Right Thing” always feels like a greeting from an old friend.
