Everyone’s favorite space-based alien family, the “Solar Opposites,” are returning to Hulu for a third season. Originally premiering in 2020, “Solar Opposites” took the adult animated sitcom and gave it a sci-fi twist. Co-creators Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan both worked on the acclaimed sci-adventure series “Rick and Morty,” with Roiland voicing both lead characters and McMahan writing. Much like “Rick and Morty,” science and technology are at the forefront of the show, but a little bit of magic slips in every now and again.

Holy Shlorp! Get a taste of the craziness of “Solar Opposites” season two with the official trailer of the all-new season. Last year, the adult animated comedy series “Solar Opposites,” co-created by Justin Roiland (“Rick & Morty“) and Mike McMahan (ex-writer’s assistant on “Rick & Morty”), really took the mature, strange and wacky animated world by storm. Clearly influenced by the model, style, and humor of “Rick & Morty” whence the creators came from, the series centered around a team of four aliens, voiced by Justin Roiland, Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone, and Mary Mack, who escaped their exploding homeworld only to crash land into a move-in-ready home in suburban America.

Production has apparently already begun on the upcoming legal thriller, “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” from writer-director Aaron Sorkin. And while we already knew that the cast was going to be led by Eddie Redmayne and Sacha Baron Cohen, it appears that Paramount still had a couple of other big names waiting to be revealed.

According to Collider, Thomas Middleditch and Micheal Keaton are the latest names to be added to the cast of “The Trial of the Chicago 7.” The film is said to focus on the true story of the Chicago 7, the group of men that were put on trial and charged with conspiracy and trying to incite a riot for their counterculture protests during the 1968 Democratic National Convention.

For a comedy as funny as “Silicon Valley,” the HBO series has had its fair share of drama behind the scenes. Despite the series’ acclaim and Emmy wins, it hasn’t been completely smooth sailing over the last five years for “Silicon Valley,” with issues with one of the leads, TJ Miller causing an uncertain future a couple of seasons ago. But the comedy has recovered and now enters its sixth and final season later this month.

The world has greatly changed over the last ten years. Technology has greatly advanced, smartphones and social media are ubiquitous, filmmaking has changed, and the advent of streaming services has transformed the movie industry while giving rise to new voices. Society has evolved too, the political landscape completely altered in the age of Trump. But like death and taxes, you can always count on some studio to deliver a belated sequel that arrives way past its sell-by date and adds nothing, let alone cultural value from when it last left off.

Now working without one T.J. Miller (who has been laying out ever since sexual assault allegations were revealed against the actor), it doesn’t look like the gang of “Silicon Valley” have missed a step. HBO‘s tech world comedy returns this spring, and Pied Piper might be getting bigger, but they’re still as clueless as ever.

“Quirky” has become a dirty word, usually used as a quick throwaway to colorfully describe something that’s “cute” or “weird” or “interesting.” But these are the words that came to mind upon watching “Entanglement,” the sophomore feature film from director/producer Jason James. A darling, twisty, and yes, very “quirky” rom-com about depression, isolation, suicide and one’s place in the world, it’s both cliched and subversive, yet hard to categorize, and for good reason.

True love may not solve all our problems, but it might help us understand the world a little better. That seems to be the thread running through the upcoming romantic drama “Entanglement,” which spins a story of romance and ponders the bigger questions about our place in the universe, and how we all connect to each other

Directed by Jason James, and starring “Silicon Valley” player Thomas Middleditch, Jess Weixler, and Diana Bang, the story follows Ben and Hanna, who fall in love, and learn about each other and the world around them, too.

It’s funny how things work out sometimes. Last spring, T.J. Miller announced that he was leaving HBO‘s “Silicon Valley,” spreading his wings to pursue movie projects and other creative endeavors, and also do things like parasail into the Cannes Film Festival to promote “The Emoji Movie.” By the end of the year, Miller would be facing allegations of sexual assault.

Bryon Allen‘s fledgling Entertainment Studios Motion Pictures want to be taken seriously, but the first thing they should do is get a new logo, because right now, it looks like the kind of thing that appears before straight-to-DVD fare. With that out of the way, the studio decided to use New York Comic Con as the launchpad for the sci-fi “Replicas” which may be coming #toosoon on the heels of the similarly themed “Flatliners.”

Penned by Stephen Hamel (“Henry’s Crime“) and Chad St.

Just a few years ago, it felt like Bruce Willis was heading into serious comeback territory: the “Red” franchise had proved a surprise hit, and he won some of the best reviews of his career for the one-two punch of “Looper” and “Moonrise Kingdom,” working with two of the most acclaimed directors around with Rian Johnson and Wes Anderson.

When we last left our merry band of tech innovators, programmers and start up investors the infamous company Pied Piper had taken yet another dramatic pivot. The algorithm company CEO and founder Richard (Thomas Middleditch) had once hoped would revolutionize video compression was pushed to the side for an increasingly popular video chat application developed by Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani). And, if you’ve ever worked even tangentially close to the tech sector it made a lot of sense and in a way that has always been the biggest strength of Mike Judge’s “Silicon Valley.”

Sure, corporate giant Hooli (think Yahoo having overstayed its welcome) and its incredulously dumb “Chief Innovation Officer” Gavin Benson (Matt Ross) is an increasingly less funny cartoon in the background, but the obstacles Richard, Dinesh, Gilfoye (Martin Starr) and Jared (the show’s secret weapon, Zach Woods) are shockingly real at times.

There are a lot of big, high-profile shows coming to TV this spring — “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Twin Peaks,” “House Of Cards,” you get the idea — but for a comic break, you can’t do much better than “Silicon Valley.” HBO‘s hit tech comedy is back for its fourth season, and it looks like it’s going to be as strong as ever.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s….“Captain Underpants“? Don’t worry, it’s not some Marvel or DC hero you haven’t heard of. Rather, it’s the creation of best-selling author Dav Pilkey, which is now headed to the big screen in a new, animated movie. You know, for kids!

Nicholas Stoller (“Storks,” “Neighbors“) directs the film, which features the voices of Kevin Hart, Ed Helms, Thomas Middleditch, Nick Kroll, Jordan Peele, and Kristen Schaal, and tells the unlikely story of a new hero who wears an unlikely undergarment.

A few years ago, if you had said an insider-y comedy about the tech world would be a big hit, we might’ve questioned your judgement. But HBO is having the last laugh as “Silicon Valley” returns for season four, and it looks like it’s lost none of its bite.

When a film has been delayed for several years, it doesn’t have to be a bad sign. Sure, more often than not you have a situation like the recent “Jane Got A Gun” or “Serena” or “Nailed”/“Accidental Love,” a film with a troubled production, disavowed by key personnel, recut by financiers and eventually dumped by distributors at a quiet time of year in the hope of making a quick buck, normally because the film is lousy and it’s the only thing to do.
