‘The Real Me’: The Who Biopic To Begin Production This Summer From Director Paul Whittington

Rock biopics are a dime a dozen nowadays. Thanks to the ridiculous success of “Bohemian Rhapsody,” if you’re any sort of rock band worth your salt, you’re likely getting approached by Hollywood for the biopic treatment. And it appears that includes the legendary rock band, The Who.

According to Variety, the long-in-development biopic about The Who is finally getting off the ground, tentatively titled “The Real Me.” Much like “Bohemian Rhapsody” focused on the life and career of Freddie Mercury, while keeping the Queen story in the background, it appears “The Read Me” will focus on drummer Keith Moon.

The Who Rereleasing Classic 1979 Documentary, ‘The Kids Are Alright’ On DVD January 20

U.K. British Invasion rockers The Who will rerelease their classic 1979 documentary, “The Kids Are Alright” on DVD come January 20, 2009.

The disc will come in two versions, a single disc edition with commentary from director Jeff Stein and a deluxe double disc version that includes interviews with singer Roger Daltrey and Stein, a closer look at film’s restoration and live performances of the songs “Baba O’Riley” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again” isolated with John Entwistle’s bass lines (this part is already on YouTube).

Though it’s been seemingly a decade since he brought it up, unfunnyman, Mike Myers, who recently talked to MTV about getting ready to rape audiences with the unhilarity that will surely be “The Love Guru,” said he’s still up for playing the part of Keith Moon in the long-gestating biopic of the departed Who drummer /decathalon binge drinker, “See Me Feel Me: Keith Moon Naked for Your Pleasure.”

Christian Bale says he didn’t bother reading Todd Haynes’ “I’m Not There” script in full when he signed on for the role. Now the press loves to make a mountain of this, but don’t forget he’s worked with the director before and likely has implicit faith in his work.

Atlanta trap muzik rapper T.I. has landed a role in the new Danny Glover movie, “Once Was Lost,” about the relationship between a senile jazz musician (Glover) and a money-hungry drug dealer (T.I., duh!) who end up taking a cross country drive from Mississippi to Harlem and becoming bff’s that learn and grow from one another! As we’ve noted before, T.I. tends to have trouble with English. Try and make sense of this next sentence if you can.
