Even though the world seems to be obsessed (once again) with “Stranger Things,” the Duffer Brothers aren’t only focused on where the kids of Hawkins will end up in Season 5. The co-creators of the “Stranger Things” universe are already planning a spinoff series, and they also are expanding outside of Hawkins for new series based on a Stephen King novel and an anime series.

According to Netflix, the Duffer Brothers have figured out their slate of projects that they’ll be working on over the next several years as part of their massive deal with the streaming service.

A new batch of “Stranger Things” episodes finally arrive on Netflix this Memorial Day weekend. And after a nearly three-year wait, fans couldn’t be more excited for the fourth season (read our review of S4 Vol. 1 here). It’s a bittersweet reunion, though, as this will be the penultimate adventure with the Hawkins, Indiana crew. That’s right: in February, Netflix renewed their smash hit for a fifth and final season.

We’ve seen The Duffer Brothers homage multiple projects from Steven Spielberg in their popular sci-fi series “Stranger Things,” and they’ve finally joined forces with Spielberg’s Amblin Television and Paramount Television Studios for an adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Talisman” at Netflix.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that they’ve come together for a series adaptation of the Stephen King and Peter Straub novel have tasked “Stranger Things”‘ Curtis Gwinn to write, showrun, and executive produce.
