The USC Libraries announced the nominees for the 29th USC Scripter Award, which is a rare writing award that goes to both the screenwriter and the writer of the material the film or TV show is based on. It can also be an indicator of potential Best Adapted Screenplay nominees.

There is nothing small about the masterful “O.J.: Made In America” (which topped our list of The 22 Best Documentaries Of 2016). An eight-hour epic, the film is a complex and insightful journey into celebrity and race in America, all told through the story of O.J. Simpson, who reached the highest peaks and lowest valleys in pop culture across many decades of public life. It’s a tremendous achievement, and sitting at home watching the five-part documentary, one can easily take for granted how much work went into the years-long process to make the movie.

‘La La Land’ Dazzles At The 2017 Golden Globe Awards, Full List Of Winners

As expected, the awards season belongs to “La La Land,” and at the Golden Globes tonight, the picture swept up pretty much everything.

The hit musical won seven awards this evening, including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress (all in the Comedy or Musical category), Best Score, Best Original Song, and Best Screenplay. Another little movie that could, “Moonlight,” capped off the evening winning Best Picture, Drama.

The 68th Emmy Awards were announced Sunday night at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the ABC production came in under 3 hours thanks to unexpected wins for no-shows Maggie Smith and Ben Mendelsohn.

The official telecast followed two earlier ceremonies over the past week where the below the line honors were revealed as well as some other key awards.
