Amazon‘s extremely expensive “Lord of The Rings” series won’t be the only Middle-Earth project on the horizon as fans of the fantastical world created by author J.R.R. Tolkien are getting a brand new animated project to obsess over.

Today, it was announced by WarnerMedia in an official press release that they’ll be making a brand new standalone anime film for the big screen called “The Lord of The Rings: The War of Rohirrim.” This will be a collaboration between Warner Bros.

The long week of Creative Arts Emmys is finally over. After five nights of virtual ceremonies, the Television Academy has bestowed a heap of trophies to “Watchmen,” “Saturday Night Live,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “The Mandalorian,” “Succession” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” And there were a number of notable individual winners as well.

Maya Rudolph won her second Emmy in one week after taking the Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category for her portrayal of Kamala Harris on “Saturday Night Live.” “The Mandalorian” earned its sixth Emmy win so far after Ludwig Göransson took Music Composition (Original Dramatic Score) and following his Oscar and Grammy wins for “Black Panther” is now just a Tony Award away from EGOT.

The Jim Henson Company has finally found a way to revive “The Dark Crystal.” For years, the company has been trying to figure out how to follow up their 1982 cult classic film, and while there was a feature film sequel in development at one time, with Genndy Tartakovsky and the Spierig brothers attached to direct at various points, nothing managed to get made. However, the studio has found a solution: they’re making a prequel, and they’re going to team up with Netflix.
