Like a disastrous first date where there’s still something there (that zsa zsa zsu, perhaps), season two of “And Just Like That…” proves that everyone deserves a second chance. In its first ten episodes, back in 2021 and 2022, the “Sex and the City” reboot was grating and clumsy, full of cringe-inducing dialogue and misguided attempts at relevancy, absent everything that made the original series a must-watch for generations of women.

It’s been over ten years since “Sex And The City 2” opened in theaters, and while that film was a commercial success, critical evaluation was, on the whole, pretty poisonous. Outside of a short-lived CW show, “The Carrie Diaries,” that served as a prequel to the original HBO smash-hit, the escapades of Carrie Bradshaw & company haven’t been heard of since.

In the new Super Bowl ad for Stella Artois, we are first shown Sarah Jessica Parker, bringing back her famous Carrie Bradshaw character from “Sex and the City.” Instead of her customary Cosmopolitan, the well-dressed lady orders a Stella Artois, causing great shock from those in the restaurant.

The sequel to “Sex And The City” (announced earlier this year) has been set for a May 28, 2010 release date by Warner Bros. and New Line.

The film will reunite writer-director, Michael-Patrick King with the cast from the original and HBO show, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.

No plot details have been revealed and no shooting plan has been set.

One could of called it the battle of the aging sexes, but the ladies took it with an unexpectedly high $55.7 million opening weekend, while Indiana Jones 4, which was expected to top the box-office again was handed its tired ass by being relegated to the #2 spot, which has to be seen a tough blow to the film that’s taken more than a few critical lumps on the chin (it did still have a respectable showing of $46 million, but obviously not enough to take the top mantle again).
