While it didn’t break box office records or anything during its 2019 release, “Ready or Not” did serve as the breakout film for both lead actress Samara Weaving and filmmakers Radio Silence. It was a Searchlight film that definitely turned a tidy profit, and it was generally loved by critics and audience members alike. All that to say, it’s no surprise that a sequel is on its way.

Directed by McG, the Costco brand of Michael Bays, “The Babysitter”—which was about a boy in love with his babysitter only to discover she’s part of a Satanic cult— isn’t very good, and ultimately rather juvenile and crude.
