This weekend sees the final episode of “Feud,” which stars Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange as Hollywood legends Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, respectively, as they scheme and catfight their way through the filming of “Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?” It also sees the second weekend of “The Fate Of The Furious,” the eighth ‘Fast And The Furious‘ film which stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, who reportedly fell out on set due to Diesel being a “candy ass” (Johnson’s words).

Sharlto Copley, Gemma Arterton & Alec Baldwin In Negotiations For ‘Men In Black 3’

Even though we have no interest at all in “Men In Black 3,” Sony is gonna do their damndest to put some enticing carrots for us to keep chasing.

Pajiba reports that Sharlto Copley, Gemma Arterton and Alec Baldwin are in negotiations to join the third installment of the franchise we’re suddenly supposed to care about again after ten years (it will be a decade since “Men In Black 2” when the film hits on May 25, 2012).

As DVD sales have dipped, and those numbers have been further crunched by the weakening economy, classic films on DVD, already a stepchild for studio’s home video divisions, have pretty much been left to wither or, in the case of Warner Bros., go to master tape dumped, overpriced, burn-on-demand releases that leave you forking over $20 for a DVD-R. In many cases, few films released on VHS are available on DVD, and even more films never released on any format float in the ether.

RIP Norman Mailer: 1923-2007

“He was interesting, because he was interested… We both dislike the same things about our native land so we had lots to talk about.” – Gore Vidal, an author and friend that Mailer once socked in the mouth. Mailer died at 84 from kidney failure on Sunday.

Mailer and Rip Torn got into a full-on brawl in the 1970 Mailer directed film, “Maidstone.”

“Outraged by the way Mailer had tricked everyone into thinking a film of novel significance was in the offing, Torn refused to accept the ending of MAIDSTONE and attacked Mailer during the filming of him with his family the day after the director had declared the movie over.
