“The New Mutants” is finally, finally hitting theaters (where theaters are open). Considering the long, winding, and convoluted path this movie took over the last couple years, its eventual theatrical release calls for at least some sort of celebration, right? Josh Boone, the director of “The New Mutants,” seems to think so, as he’s already speaking openly about what projects he’d like to work on next.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Boone stated that he’d love to adapt Marvel’s “Power Pack” comics into an MCU-set family film.

While “Ant-Man & The Wasp” might not have the strong MCU ties that something like “Avengers: Infinity War” does, it appears that some seeds are being planted that very well might lead to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At least, if you believe Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.
