However, over its short three-season run, the Showtime series gained a cult status and loyal fanbase to rival any show on TV. Now, only two years removed from the series finale, Showtime is bringing back the supernatural series, but with a new name and location, titled “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels.”

Deadline is reporting that “Penny Dreadful” creator, writer, and producer John Logan is bringing the franchise back with a brand-new take.
