“Sin Nombre” director Cary Fukunaga recently took to Vanity Fair to discuss his future in cinema including his next project, potentially his time travel film, as well as his gestating fantasy, love story musical.

While the director is set to tackle an adaptation of Charlotte Bronte’s “Jane Eyre” starring Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender later this month, Fukunaga already has a number of projects in the works, even revealing immediate plans on discussing said projects with studios.

Polish composer Abel Korzeniowski has replaced Owen Pallett for the score of John Mitchell Cameron’s upcoming drama “Rabbit Hole” according to MovieScore.

Final Fantasy mastermind and infrequent Arcade Fire member Pallett previously revealed he had been completing work for the film but, due to to prior scheduling with touring for his new album Heartland, would have to leave his work incomplete in the hands of producers to decide its future.

Unfortunately for Pallett, Korzeniowski has been recruited to score the film after making a name for himself with the moving and emotional score for Tom Ford’s “A Single Man” that featured on our Best Of Soundtracks & Scores list of 2009 and received a Golden Globe nomination.

Musician Owen Pallett has revealed that he is currently composing the score to John Cameron Mitchell’s upcoming drama “Rabbit Hole” but will have to leave his work potentially incomplete and in the hands of producers.

“I think I’m actually not going to be scoring it, despite the fact that I’ve scored it,” reveals Pallett, the braintrust behind, Final Fantasy, and sometimes a member of the Arcade Fire, who has now reverted back to his real name and shied away from his video game nom de plume for legal reasons.

We’ve already detailed, “Sin Nombre,” director, Cary Fukunaga‘s hopeful plans to make a musical for his next project. But he’s got many projects on the burners including a sci-fi film.

The musical idea is ambitious though and Fukunaga hopes to get Owen Pallet of Final Fantasy and the Arcade Fire and Zach Condon of Beirut to score the film. But when we spoke to him last, he seemed tentative. “We’re just in talks and there’s nothing set yet” (Condon almost scored his incredible debut, “Sin Nombre,” but dropped out at the last minute).

Continuing our coverage of the Zach Condon of Beirut and Cary Fukunaga (director of the recently released indie drama “Sin Nombre”) potential collaborations.

As we just noted Condon was tapped to do the score of the Mexico-set “Sin Nombre,” but the collaboration didn’t work out (though it was still fruitful for Condon musically).

However, just because they weren’t on the same page, doesn’t mean they won’t ever work together again. Quite the contrary, in fact, in what is a wet-dream for “where movies meets music” nerds like us, Fukunaga is in talks with Condon and Owen Pallet of the one-man-band violin show Final Fantasy (and sometimes Arcade Fire member) to potentially write the compositions for a musical that the director has in mind for his next project.

Win Butler is not impressed at the moment and certainly not impressed with “Donnie Darko” director Richard Kelly, and engineer Markus Dravs and bloggers and “interweb writers.”

According to the Win’s blog on the Arcade Fire site, (via consequences) despite reports to the contrary, the Montreal orchestral rockers are NOT composing the score to Richard Kelly’s sci-fi, horror drama, “The Box.”

On May 12 Kelly wrote on his myspace page, “We’re starting to work with a very famous band who is honoring us with being the first fillmmakers they’ve ever scored a film with.”

Then Arcade Fire engineer Marcus Dravs was seemingly crystal clear on who that “very famous band” was.
