We first reported about a potential film based on the life of famous Wu-Tang rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard, aka ODB, way back in 2009. Almost a decade ago, one of the founding members of Wu-Tang, RZA was attempting to get a film made. Then a few years later, in 2012, it was reported that Michael K. Williams was signed on to star in the film, and the members of the legendary rap group would play themselves.

Trailer For GZA’s ‘Wu-Tang Revealed’ Reveals That The Wu Are Just As Interesting Arguing As They Are Rapping

Apparently 10 years in the making, GZA’s documentary on the Wu-Tang Clan “Wu-Tang Revealed” looks like it has the potential to be all kinds of WTF amazing. We’re still wrapping our minds around the visual oddity of the Wu sitting around the breakfast table with a giant vase of pink flowers bickering with each other. Will this be the hip-hop equivalent of Metallica’s “Some Kind Of Monster”? Time will tell.

Ol’ Dirty Bastard Biopic Coming One Day?

Wu Tang Clan abbot, the RZA says there is interest in a Ol’ Dirty Bastard biopic, but it might take a few years of internal wrangling to figure out.

“We have talked about [a biopic film]. His estate is pretty confused, like any estate is in our country. The estate is kind of confused on what to do, and all the rights and all that shit, but it’s definitely been talked about. There’s also been talk about a Wu-Tang Clan movie.

‘The Story Of Wu’: Another Wu-Tang Documentary Hitting DVD On November 18

Remember the Wu-Tang Clan documentary, “Rock The Bells,” that basically tracked the insanity and difficulty that was trying to reunite all the mercurial and unpredictable Wu-Tang players on the same stage for one night in 2004?

Well, apparently there‘s another Wu-banger in the works. It’s called, “Wu: The Story of the Wu-Tang Clan” directed by Gerald K. Barclay who’s credits include working as an archivist on Nick Broomfield’s controversial documentary, “Tupac & Biggie” from 2002.
