Bear in mind, this is a quintessential “big if true” report; but if it’s factual, kudos to Jordan Peele for not taking the MCU bait. One Take News reports (via TheInSneider) that the “NOPE” director met the Marvel Studios a while back to discuss an upcoming project.  And while it’s not confirmed, (nor is it confirmed that the meeting indeed happened) the meet-up was to discuss Marvel‘s upcoming “X-Men” movie.

Ever since Disney acquired Fox and made it clear that Marvel Studios would be rebooting the “X-Men” franchise, fans have been dying to see the mutants up on the big screen. There have been a few hints about mutants in “Ms. Marvel” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and we’re going to get a final sendoff to the old “X-Men” franchise in the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine,” but that isn’t exactly what fans want.

Could Robert Eggers‘ “The Northman” release have sparked renewed interest in revisiting “Hamlet”? The Viking epic is based on the original Scandinavian tale that directly influenced William Shakespeare’s beloved story of revenge and murder. Now, a new modern film version of “Hamlet” is on the horizon from Oscar-winners Riz Ahmed and Aneil Karia.

The duo recently won Oscars for Best Short Film thanks to the terrific picture “The Long Goodbye,” and Deadline reports they are now looking to re-imagine the “Hamlet” story with a thriller edge.

The highly-anticipated reboot/revival of “Battlestar Galactica” is one step closer to invading your streaming screens. Produced by Sam Esmail, the new ‘BSG’ has found its leader—Michael Lesslie.

According to Deadline, Lesslie has been recruited to be the lead writer and showrunner for the new “Battlestar Galactica” series that is in development over at Peacock (NBCUniveral’s new streaming service that is expected to launch this summer).
