Well, this is certainly good timing. David Krumholtz, who appears in Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” as Isidor Isaac Rabi, one of Oppenheimer’s best friends from an early age, is having a moment. Sure, you probably know Krumholtz from roles in movies like “The Santa Clause” franchise (1994–present), “10 Things I Hate About You” (1999), the “Harold & Kumar” film trilogy (2004–2011), or the CBS drama series “Numb3rs,” but the actor has lit up social media in the last two weeks with a kind of DGAF attitude.

13 years after it was canceled, the catering comedy “Party Down” returns to STARZ for a belated third season, and all the gang is back Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, and more. Because revivals are all the rage in the era of #TooMuchContent and the streaming war era.

So, today, STARZ released the first poster and trailer for its hit cult comedy series “Party Down.” The third season consists of six all-new episodes and is set to premiere on Friday, February 24 at midnight on the STARZ app, all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms and internationally on the LIONSGATE+ premium streaming platform in the UK, Brazil and Latin America.

For a comedy as funny as “Silicon Valley,” the HBO series has had its fair share of drama behind the scenes. Despite the series’ acclaim and Emmy wins, it hasn’t been completely smooth sailing over the last five years for “Silicon Valley,” with issues with one of the leads, TJ Miller causing an uncertain future a couple of seasons ago. PARK CITY: During the Q&A following the world premiere of “Honey Boy” at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, screenwriter and star Shia LaBeouf said that writing the script after his latest stint in rehab was “gestalt therapy.”  Considering so much of it is based on LaBeouf’s real and complicated relationship with his father, that’s not a surprise. The result turns out to be not only a triumph for LaBeouf but a spectacular narrative debut for noted documentary filmmaker Alma Har’el.

Logan Marshall-Green has always seemed to be on the cusp of breaking out, alternating between blockbusters (“Prometheus“) and indie flicks (“Madame Bovary,” this year’s lean and mean thriller “The Invitation“) with nothing quite clicking. His time may come with upcoming Cinemax series “Quarry,” but whether or not that show connects, the folks at Sony and Marvel are more than satisfied that he can handle the job playing a big screen villain.

We spoke and hung out with Greg Mottola recently (very nice dude) and we’re very excited for his film, “Adventureland,” hitting theaters April 3 via Miramax which stars Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Martin Starr, Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig and Ryan Reynolds. It also screens next week at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin starting March 15.

Set in the 1980s, the film’s music has a decidedly excellent college rock/ alt rock vibe (this is before they called it indie-rock) to soundtrack all its funny and bittersweet moments.

Mottola directed “Superbad” and this film, hitting theaters on March 27, ranked very high on our 60+ Most Anticipated Films of 2009 list. Fans of “Superbad” should note though, while this film is equally funny, we’re calling it a dramedy on purpose, there’s lots of heavy bittersweet and melancholy tones to the film (or at least in the screenplay).

Prior to “Superbad,” in 2007, Mottola hadn’t directed a feature-length film since the “The Daytrippers” in 1996 (he spent the interim time directing great television episodes like, Judd Apatow’s “Undeclared” and “Arrested Development”), but obviously the success of that summer comedy has made him in-demand once again (or arguably for the first time in his life).
