Anthony Doerr’s Pulitzer Prize-winning “All the Light We Cannot See” is a lyrically structured book, a story that moves back and forth through time and POV, using short chapters that read more like poetry than prose. In other words, it’s a really tough book to adapt for the big or small screen. Even with that degree of difficulty in mind, the 4-part Netflix mini-series version of this moving tale that unfolds starting November 2nd is atrocious, a poorly constructed, ham-fisted, manipulative adaptation that drains the source material of all of its inherent power in favor of obvious dialogue, blunt characterizations, and genuinely horrible filmmaking.

Tim Roth says he isn’t so sure that his much-publicized “She-Hulk: Attorney At Law” scene with Mark Ruffalo made the final cut.

In a new interview, the actor — who starred opposite Edward Norton in Marvel’s first standalone Hulk film and reprises his role as Emil Blonsky/Abomination in the new series — says he’s not sure viewers will see the scene, which he says cheekily plays up Marvel’s recasting of the gargantuan superhero when Ruffalo took over from Norton starting with 2012’s “The Avengers.”

“I’ve always wanted to work with him, and it just happened to be this, which was kind of fun,” Roth told The Hollywood Reporter.

Since “Avengers: Endgame,” it’s clear there would be a “changing of the guard” in the MCU, with new heroes replacing the Avengers whose arcs culminated in that film. In fact, half of the original Avengers are gone at this point, with only Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Thor, and Hawkeye remaining (and Clint Barton is more or less retired). Still, at this point in Phase 4, no new heroes have stepped up to take over the empty spaces Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow left behind.
