What’s happening over in the world of “Yellowstone”? Well, apparently, quite a lot. A new report by Puck drops a boatload of new information about the 2nd half of “Yellowstone” season 5 and the mooted “2024” spinoff, which almost certainly won’t be titled that in the end.

It’s a shame that “Sicario” and “Hell Or High Water” screenwriter Taylor Sheridan‘s directorial debut “Wind River” was tarnished by The Weinstein Company implosion. Who knows what could’ve happened had it entered the awards race without that cloud hanging over it (even as the team behind the movie distanced themselves entirely from the distributor). Nonetheless, fans of the filmmaker going to have a whole lot more coming their way in the year ahead.

While “elegant” might not be the first word used to describe John Sturges’ classic western “The Magnificent Seven,” it’s certainly an adjective that seems like a worthy descriptor, especially when watching Antoine Fuqua’s contemporary take on the tale that started with Akira Kurosawa’s peerless “Seven Samurai.” Sturges’ film, much like Kurosawa’s, was as much about humility as it was about heroism, a band of rogues fighting for a just cause, even if certain death was an outcome more than one would face.
