It’s a question that one persistent detective faces in Prime Video’s “Them: The Scare.” The series’ second season focuses on LA during a pivotal point in its history — the ’90s. Creator, executive producer, and showrunner Little Marvin found the location’s turbulent decade to be the perfect pairing for horror. “With ‘Them: The Scare,’ we wanted to combine our love of horror with a look at Los Angeles’s rich history and evolution,” he said.

It gets particularly difficult when you’re talking about something like “Them,” Amazon Prime’s new horror drama anthology series, because its first season (subtitled “Covenant”) will be a self-contained story.

But there are definitely new projects coming out that feel very much like “Jordan Peele Film.” One of those is the upcoming Amazon series, “Them.”

As seen in the teaser trailer for “Them,” the series follows the story of a Black family in the 1950s that moves to a very white suburb in Los Angeles.
