One of the many projects halted by the SAG-AFTRA strike this summer was “Venom 3,” the upcoming capstone to the trilogy devoted to Tom Hardy‘s anti-hero. Apple TV+ has made it abundantly clear that it is really only interested in original films and TV series that have superstar talent attached. That would include the newest series, “The Changeling,” which has just received the green light from the streaming service.

Believe it or not, as much as Tom Hardy has been involved in the creation of the “Venom” film franchise, the actor didn’t have any story or writing credits in the first film. However, with the upcoming “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” it appears the actor is getting his first-ever “story by” credit for his contributions to the film. And by contributions, as screenwriter Kelly Marcel recently explained, we mean the actor didn’t necessarily write anything but spent hours working on the script and story that went into the highly anticipated sequel.
