As Marvel expands their Cinematic Universe, the studio continues to grow its roster and get into more nooks and crannies of the Marvel Universe. She-Hulk is one fan-favorite character arguably way overdue to appear on screen, but don’t fret. The Emerald Amazon or Shulkie, as she is sometimes referred to in the comics, is coming to Disney+ later in the summer.

And as Marvel expands its rosters, it also boosts the moods, tones, and genres they’re hoping to tackle.

Though tried and true romantic comedies area dying breed, Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson make a bid to revive the genre (with a musical twist) in Kat Coiro’s “Marry Me,” which hits theaters just in time for Valentine’s Day. Based on Bobby Crosby’s graphic novel of the same name, “Marry Me” follows global music superstar, Kat Valdez (Lopez), who plans to marry her equally famous fiance, Bastian (Colombian singer-songwriter Maluma), in a combination concert/wedding set to be streamed for millions across the globe.

The upcoming “She-Hulk” series directed by Kat Coiro had casting confirmations made by Kevin Feige tonight at the Disney Investors Day. Emmy-winning actress Tatiana Maslany will be playing Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk, in the Disney+ along returning MCU actors Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth. The latter plays the villainous Abomination from Louis Lettier’s “The Incredible Hulk” that starred Ed Norton as Bruce Banner.

It’s hard to imagine that Marvel Studios is still developing and producing Disney+ series considering it’s September and we have yet to see even one of them arrive on the streaming service, despite knowing of their existence for more than a year. But even as we wait for “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” whenever that finally debuts, Marvel Studios is still moving ahead with its other series, including “She-Hulk,” which just found a director.
