While 2021 has seen movie theaters reopen across the world, there hasn’t been a ton of good news when it comes to the box office, especially over the past several months. The spike in COVID cases has seemingly hurt the overall enthusiasm of film fans to rush back to cinemas. Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” has many sights that awe its adventurers—a cove of towering waterfalls that empties from below, a spindly mega tree that sprouts luminescent red flowers in the moonlight, a violent set of rapids ready to suck boats over the edge. On the other hand, viewers will only see numerous uncanny valleys, related to when a visual is recognizable but distractingly not real. CGI is a major choice for an adventure based on setting, texture, and sweating, along with its characters, and an extremely disagreeable one.

Disney has confirmed what was rumored recently and announced (via THR) that “Indiana Jones 5” will miss its 2020 release date, instead being released on July 9, 2021. Along with the news of ‘Indy 5’ coming in three years, the company also had some other date changes to announce, and one, in particular, will create a very interesting holiday season.
