There is just so much we don’t know about space. What’s out there? What happens when we start to explore it more? There are just a ton of questions, and that makes for great stories, such as in the new Apple TV+ sci-fi drama, “Constellation.”

It’s going to be an interesting awards season for a number of reasons, and one of them is the question of whether Netflix will be able to properly crack the Oscars this year. It’s no secret that the streaming giant has been trying to make an awards splash for a few years, but while rivals Amazon arrived in a big way last year with “Manchester By The Sea,” Netflix have so far only really managed to figure into the documentary categories.

There are very few categories that seem like a lock, but this is one of them. If John Lithgow doesn’t take this Emmy, it will be a monumental upset.  He won the “lead” actor category for his role in “The Crown” at the SAG Awards and is a 12-time Emmy nominee and four-time winner. If anyone finds a way to steal his, um, crown among this crowded field, it will likely either be Ron Cephas Jones from “This Is Us” or David Harbour from “Stranger Things.”  [Posted July 25]
