We tend to forget, now that the streaming service has a plethora of original series, that Netflix really started to hit its stride with original content thanks to “House of Cards” and “Orange is the New Black.” The latter of those series is the brainchild of “Weeds” creator Jenji Kohan, who has gone on to help spearhead another Netflix hit, “GLOW.” Now, she lends her creativity (and all-important name) to the upcoming series “American Princess.”

“American Princess,” as the name suggests, is about an American socialite (we don’t have princesses, silly) who falls on hard times and has to take a job at a Renaissance Fair.
