This raised a few eyebrows, since “Louie” has always been more like an eclectic collection of short films than a conventional sitcom. If C.K. wanted to overhaul the show entirely, there’s no reason why he couldn’t have just made an entirely new set of characters, themes, and ideas for his new “Louie.”

But it’s hard to argue too much against what the writer-director-comedian has done with his career since the last (for now) “Louie” aired back in May of 2015.

In an interview with the NY Times, on the eve of the release of “New York, I Love You” (which is predictably mediocre like most omnibus films) producer Emmanuel Benbihy has revealed that anthology projects set in Shanghai, Rio de Janiero and Jerusalem are already in the works. According to /Film, “Shanghai, I Love You” will be up next to coincide with the 2010 World Expo, with Jerusalem to follow in 2011 or 2012. Over at the Hollywood Reporter, they elaborate a little more saying both Shanghai and Rio will be shooting next year, with Jerusalem to follow a little a later on so perhaps that info is a little out of date now.

Depending on your perspective, this is either a fairly good, or fairly mediocre box-office weekend. We’ll have to disagree with the former for the most part, but perhaps that’s just us. Although it was dubbed a “tie” last weekend, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” did eventually out perform “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” by about just over half a million dollars. But there’s probably no way either of them can hang onto the top spot this weekend (though holding onto #2 still seems reasonable consider the so-so offerings).

“This is what I have always liked about New York. These little moments on the sidewalks, you can watch the buildings, you can feel the air, look at the people, and sometimes meet someone you feel like you can talk to.” Just close your eyes and let that quote repeat itself in your mind a few times…do you feel like killing someone yet?

The much-awaited film from producer Emmanuel Benbihy, “New York, I Love You,” which is a follow-up to 2006’s “Paris, Je T’aime,” has released a teaser trailer in anticipation for its upcoming screening at this years Toronto International Film Festival*.

Don’t you hate random (movie) sites that can be bothered call out the news in their interviews / have zero editorial skills / don’t even know what content they have? (i.e. “Interview with Paul Rudd on the set of “I Love You, Man,” i.e. “We Have No Clue What We’re Doing Even Though We Have Great Access To Actors/Directors, Etc.”)

We digress. We decided to read IESB.net for some reason (because we like to slog through long-winded interviews that go nowhere trolling for news that they have, but don’t know what to do with; not just music/movie news either; need an editor for pete’s sake?) and we came across this interview with actor Paul Rudd on the set of his upcoming comedy, “I Love You, Man,” which centers on a newly engaged, but fairly bff-challenged dude (The Rudd) who sets out to find the perfect “Best Man” for his wedding (the film also stars Jason Segel – who eventually becomes the bff – Jaime Pressly, Cara Gallo (!!) and the lovely Rashida Jones as his fiance).
