So Oliver Stone will attempt to humanize Adolph Hitler in his new, upcoming 10-part documentary series, “The Secret History of the United States,” right?

That’s evidently the plan as reported last week by The Independent. Stone apparently wants to “liberalize” Hitler and to finger U.S. corporations for their role in the rise of National Socialism in Germany in his forthcoming series for Showtime who are showing some remarkable balls for giving the controversial director a platform.

Trailer Arrives For Oliver Stone’s Doc ‘South Of The Border’

The trailer has arrived for Oliver Stone’s documentary “South Of The Border,” and it looks like a doozy. What originally started as a documentary on Venezualan president Hugo Chavez, became a bigger look at South American politics as a whole, and the American media and economic influence on the continent.

The film will be premiering at the Venice Film Festival, but unless it is greeted with nothing less than rave reviews, don’t hold your breath about seeing this in theaters anytime soon.

‘Notorious’ Violence: Man Shot Opening Night; Four Stabbed At After Party

The “Notorious” biopic — or at least bad apples at the screenings, are doing little to dispel the notion that violence and hip-hop are part and parcel. A man was shot on opening night on Friday in North Carolina and lead actor Jamal Woodward was allegedly there. To make matter worse, four people were stabbed at a “Notorious” after party. It’s kind of a shame. [Examiner/MSNBC/Hiphopdx]

Perhaps the garbage at the box-office this weekend was too much to stomach and audiences revolted in the form of random and wanton violence.
