A man sits in a coffee shop, staring at the clock on his phone, terror rising on his face as his hands tremble. Suddenly, the ground shakes and three massive gray creatures emerge from thin air. They are demons, sent to drag the man to Hell. First, they must perform the demonstration, showing everyone the torturous eternity that awaits this man. They smash him around the shop, down the street, and push his face so hard into a bus window that it breaks.

Similar to the film side of things, November is positively bursting with new and returning titles for viewers to immerse themselves in. More than most months, there’s plenty of variety on display here in terms of genres from K-Dramas, to animated absurdism, coming-of-age, slice-of-life stories. But it’s arguably the month of both Marvel (two new series, albeit, one an animated one on Hulu), Jeremy Renner and Taylor Sheridan, the Paramount+ big cheese and creator/writer/director who returns with a new series (“Mayor of Kingstown” that stars Renner who also stars in Marvel’s “Hawkeye“), and his big hit series, “Yellowstone,” beginning its fourth season.

Netflix continues to back Korean series about monsters and demons. In addition to two seasons of zombie period drama “Kingdom,” the streaming platform also recently announced a new series adapted from the Korean webtoon “All of Us Are Dead.” Now, Netflix is heading to a bit of an underworld with “Hellbound” a new series with Yeon Sang-ho from “Train to Busan” and the upcoming “Peninsula” as a director.
