Helen Mirren is a fantastic actress. One of the best in the world, without a doubt. However, when it was revealed that Mirren, under prosthetics, would play Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir in a new film, people were a bit shocked. Some were even upset over passing over Jewish actors for Mirren in the role. However, when the film debuted at the Berlin Film Festival, the filmmaker behind “Golda” defended the casting and spoke highly of his star.
