The teenager found herself at the center of the climate change discussion after she bravely protested in her native Sweden. This led to international headlines and a new platform for the young woman to discuss a topic that is so clearly near and dear to her.

There are many kinds of documentaries one might want to see from “I Am Greta,” a Hulu portrait about famous teenage Climate Change activist and eco-warrior Greta Thunberg. One might hope for something akin to “The Inconvenient Truth,” with tons of sobering statistics and easy-to-understand graphs and charts led by the passionate teenager (you won’t find that here). One might wish for a doc that explains who Thunberg is, what makes her tick, and what set her off on this journey of activism (that’s here, but in more of an oblique way).

It’s hard to imagine that it’s only been just about two years that climate change activist Greta Thunberg has been in the public eye. Back in the summer of 2018, the then-15-year-old Thunberg gained worldwide headlines for leading a protest against Sweden’s lack of plan against climate change. Since then, she’s traveled around the world and inspired millions of young people to think more about the environment. And her story has now been made into a documentary that is getting quite a bit of buzz, titled “I Am Greta.”

As seen in the first clip/teaser for “I Am Greta,” the new documentary comes from Hulu and follows the early days of Thunberg’s activism and her treacherous travel issues considering she refuses to take airplanes across the Atlantic ocean due to the carbon footprint.
