EW reports that in honor of his “Grease” co-star Olivia Newton-John‘s death six months ago, John Travolta recreates “Summer Nights” for T-Mobile’s new Super Bowl commercial. In the spot, Travolta teams up with best friends/funny guys Zach Braff and Donald Faison to plug T-Mobile’s service to the tune of his duet with Newton-John in the 1978 films.

Unlike the Oscars or other annual awards, being selected by the Library of Congress as one of the 25 films picked to join the National Film Registry is on a whole different level. By being chosen, a film is given the honor of being deemed one of the most influential and important films to ever be released. And this year, the 25 films chosen include a wide variety of features, from superhero films to war dramas to musical comedies.

A little more than a year ago, it was announced that Paramount was beginning work on a new “Grease” prequel film. While there wasn’t much known as far as who would helm the film or who might lead the cast, it was revealed that “Summer Lovin’” would take the story of the “Grease” lead characters’ first meeting and their seasonal romance. But now, it appears that the film is not only still in development but took a huge step towards beginning production with Brett Haley coming aboard to direct.

“Grease” is coming to your streaming devices. But we’re not just talking about the classic John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John film. And no, this isn’t an announcement about Paramount’s upcoming prequel, “Summer Lovin,” either. Nope, apparently, HBO Max saw the rise in teen dramas (“Riverdale“) and musicals (“High School Musical“) and figured that the platform needs to get involved in that action, as well, with the upcoming series “Grease: Rydell High.”

According to Variety, HBO Max has ordered a series that will serve as a spin-off from the popular film/musical and incorporate some new characters with some of your favorites in a new story involving the titular high school.

You know what’s a great film to revisit in 2019? The classic story of a macho boy trying to get in the pants of an innocent girl by faking like he cares about her and tricking her into liking him, all while he talks about screwing girls with his best friends. Oh, and it all ends happily ever after with the innocent girl taking up smoking, wearing revealing clothes, and becoming the ultimate sex object in the guy’s mind.
