As shocking as it may seem to people who are having trouble admitting they’re old (myself included), Denzel Washington’s post-apocalyptic action film, “The Book of Eli,” is turning 14 this year. Yes, that means there are kids who will attend high school this year that were born the same year ‘Eli’ was released. Even though we don’t want to admit it, the idea of a prequel series doesn’t feel all that crazy, considering the film has been sitting on the shelf for well over a decade.

Earlier this year, Brie Larson revealed she had auditioned for a “Star Wars” movie, but didn’t reveal which. Now, in an appearance on Gary Whitta‘s Twitch live stream Animal Talking show she revealed she auditioned for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” which Whitta co-wrote.

“Oh yeah! You wrote ‘Rogue One,’ right?” Larson asked Whitta at one point when discussing Disney and the way they hold secrets– she also revealed she knew she was “Captain Marvel” for a year before it was announced.

Many movies go through dramatic story changes during production. “Star Wars” went through several major changes before it became the movie we know and love today (though it is still going through changes all the time), including Darth Vader originally being a bounty hunter, Skywalker being a title, and Han Solo being an alien. That didn’t quite happen, with Lucasfilm choosing instead to make a new trilogy tied to the original saga, and spinoff films about classic characters. However, the multiplex will eventually get “Star Wars” movies made entirely for a new generation.
