As we move closer to production, we’re starting to learn the names of the actors who will round out the cast for the upcoming DC Studios series, “Lanterns.” We already know the two leads, Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre, but those two need some actors surrounding them, right?

According to Deadline, Garret Dillahunt is the latest actor to join DC Studios’ upcoming HBO series, “Lanterns.” The series is inspired by the “Green Lantern” DC comics and will tell the story of two Green Lanterns who come to Earth to investigate a crime.

Viggo Mortensen loves him a good Western. The actor has starred in several of them, 2008’s “Appaloosa,” 2004’s “Hidalgo,” and even more recent arthouse international films like “Jauja” and “Far from Men” employ elements of this genre. Mortensen has also moved into writing and directing features in recent years, following the critically-acclaimed “Falling,” and so his next directorial effort, “The Dead Don’t Hurt,” is also returning to the dangerous Western frontier.

After years of agony, drama, and studio fighting with mixed results to show for it in the end (at best), if filmmaker Zack Snyder gleans one takeaway from his terrific new zombie thriller, “Army Of The Dead,” it’s that he should steer completely clear of superhero films for the rest of his career and focus on original features. And maybe just zombie ones. Snyder’s best movie since his debut, the zombie film “Dawn Of The Dead” (2004), “Army Of The Dead” is really compelling and deftly navigates a lot of different tones, even if it quickly leaves more interesting ones behind.

Netflix has just released the first trailer for Jeremy Rush’s film “Wheelman.” The film stars Frank Grillo as a getaway driver who is, surprise suprise, double crossed and must drive to survive. While it doesn’t sound like the most original plot, Grillo is always a welcome presence and the film will be, at the very least, action packed. The official synopsis reads:

Frank Grillo (Kingdom, Captain America: Civil War) stars as the wheelman, a getaway driver thrust into a high stakes race-to-survive after a bank robbery goes terribly wrong.

The film apparently grew out of his years-in-the-making, 1000 page novel “Some Time In The Sun” that unfortunately didn’t find a publisher. While the book, which ironically started out as a screenplay, didn’t manage to get printed, it did help raise finances for the film.
