Every episode of Steven Knight’s new series “Rogue Heroes” begins with a declarative statement: “Based on a true story, the events depicted which seem most unbelievable … are mostly true.” It’s the sort of pithy postmodern title card that might elicit an eye-roll. Yet it also perfectly encapsulates this rollicking tale of the Special Air Service (SAS) formation during World War II. 

While occasionally deploying anachronistic ‘80s rock songs to lighten the mood and using title cards that can probably be best described as graffiti-chic, “Rogue Heroes” is both utterly unbelievable and, well, mainly true to the facts.

Stephen King has yet another project coming to screens. Trying to keep track of every film or TV series in development based on a King book or story is damn-near impossible right now. And adding to the confusion is the new series that EPIX is developing, “Jerusalem’s Lot.”

According to Deadline, EPIX has ordered a 10-episode limited series based on the short story “Jerusalem’s Lot” that will star none other than Adrien Brody in the lead role.

And it was certainly like catching lightning in a bottle, because everything “Get Shorty” did right, the sequel “Be Cool” did horribly wrong. But there’s no doubt about the source material, and in the latest movie-to-go-TV, Leonard’s book and movie is making the crossover.
