James Gunn’s upcoming “Superman: Legacy” (summer 2025) promises to be the first theatrical entry point for the newly branded DCU. And it has been said that the superhero pic will usher in a heap of various DC Comics characters that will get fleshed out down the road as DC Studios looks to create their own cinematic universe. It turns out that talk is correct, and there is now a big update on what some of those characters will be with new actors joining the cast.

Because in the stylish, rhythmic, epic big-budget Western “The Harder They Fall,” directed by Jeymes Samuel and produced by Jay-Z (whose refined and unflappably trendsetting music sensibilities seem to saturate the film), everybody is trying to get theirs.

The film has a massive cast that includes Jonathan Majors, Zazie Beetz, Regina King and Idris Elba.
