From “Freaky Friday” to “13 Going on 30” to so, so many more, the idea of a kid switching bodies with an adult is something studios can’t get enough of. But how do you up the stakes? Well, in “Family Switch,” it’s not just one kid who switches bodies with a parent. Instead, we get both kids switching with both parents.

But as seen in the trailer, this film is much different than you would initially think.

“Together Together” tells the story of a lonely guy in his 40s that wants nothing more than to be a dad. He then hires a surrogate woman in her 20s to carry his child.

And Harrison Ford is a great choice to play a character that is charming, yet a bit unhinged. So, it makes sense that both men would be cast in the upcoming comedy, “The Miserable Adventures Of Burt Squire Aboard The Horn High Yo.”

Through plot machinations, these two unlikely partners— usually detesting one another for various reasons, racial divide being key— are forced to solve the mystery behind said crime while bickering constantly and trying not to get killed in the process.

All you have to say is Riggs and Murtaugh and film fans know exactly who you mean, as “Lethal Weapon” is probably the greatest example of this premise. Well, Netflix is hoping that you remember the names Coffee and Kareem. (Yes, it’s clearly a pun.)

As seen in the trailer for “Coffee & Kareem,” the buddy-cop genre is flipped when you have the team-up of straight-laced, dorky Coffee teaming up with his girlfriend’s young son, Kareem, as they attempt to evade drug dealers that want to see them dead.

Though his films are cut from the same cloth of the films of Mark Duplass or Joe Swanberg, Brice finds the menace and paranoia in human intimacy and social interaction. Brice’s comedy is mired in the ever-battling anxieties and curiosities of the unknown variables of interpersonal relationships.

For all the classics, much like horror, there’s a lot of cheap, garish junk that gets churned out each year that hurts the overall quality score.

Inspired by a true story, the new comedy centers around a group of life-long friends who’ve played the same game of tag, one month in the year, for the past three decades. These grown men have resorted to drastic measures in order to tag their friends. They’ll fake identities, drive miles upon miles away to their friend’s destination, dress up in elaborate costumes — the whole gambit.

Pictures is also coming out with a film inspired by that game we used to play whenever our parents told us to quit staring at that damn screen and go play outside for a while.

The big screen feature debut of director Jeff Tomsic (whose TV credits include “Broad City” and “This Is Not Happening”), “Tag” is loosely based on a true story published in the Wall Street Journal about a group of men from Spokane, Washington, who have managed to keep a high school game of tag going for the last three decades.

Al Franken, John Conyers, and Roy Moore among others have faced controversy, not to mention that the country is being led by someone who has openly bragged about crossing boundaries with women. All this is to say that “Chappaquiddick” arrives at a particularly potent time, if only to remind these kinds of stories have been around for decades.

A new trailer has arrived for the Warner Bros. comedy which marks the directorial debut of “The Hangover” cinematographer Lawrence Sher — here’s hoping that this film can recapture some of that first film’s gonzo charm and less of the seedy and misogynist humor of the following films in that franchise.

Instead, he’s still mourning the tragic killing of his brother Bobby Kennedy a year earlier, while mulling his own possible presidential run. To the latter end, he’s gathered together six of the “boiler-room girls” who worked on behalf of Robert Kennedy’s presidential campaign for a party.

That is to say, “I Do… Until I Don’t” is bad.

It’s the worst breed of bad movie, too: distinctly not-good but far from detestable. I felt the same way about writer-director-star Lake Bell’s previous (and first) film, “In a World” (an unpopular opinion, by the way, about a movie that landed a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes).

It’s never a great sign when an indie movie skips every big time festival — Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, L.A.

But a loose concept is not a movie if it’s not carefully drawn, pondered and conceived. And the promise of such a potentially nifty little idea isn’t so much squandered in the hapless Tribeca indie “The Clapper” as barely explored.
