The 47th Daytime Emmy Awards nominations were announced this morning and, no surprise, the venerable soap “General Hospital” led all series with 23 nominations. “The View” topped all daytime talk shows with eight while newcomer “The Kelly Clarkson Show” earned seven in its first year. “Jeopardy!” earned the most nominations in the game show categories with six.

Among networks, CBS took 57 nods while Amazon Prime Video was right behind with 55 (most for series you may have never heard of on their service).

The 45th Daytime Emmy Awards nominations were announced today and after reviewing the lengthy list of nominees it’s clear it’s yet another round of same old, same old.  This Emmy honor often features many repetitive nominees (and winners) which is one reason Oprah Winfrey infamously stopped submitting “The Oprah Winfrey Show” after it dominated the Talk Show category in the 1990s.  The long list of nominees can be found here, but its worth noting there are a few surprises.
