Remember the dustbowl-set American drama thriller “Dreamland” starring Margot Robbie from the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival? The film kinds of came and went and got forgotten, but in aftermath of Tribeca was bought by Vertical Entertainment. Following that, Paramount Pictures acquired the home entertainment and TV licensing rights to “Dreamland” and are co-releasing the film with Vertical this November.

The SXSW Film Festival dominated March, we’ve had a few cons and festivals in between (CinemaCon, True/False Festival), the Cannes Film Festival is on its way in May and spring in New York is always about the Tribeca Film Festival.

The 18th annual iteration of the Festival, which runs April 24 to May 5, will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers.

Not only did he pen an original song for “Dreamland,” but Rooney has contributed new material, and Schwartzman curated the entire soundtrack, and today we have some exclusive cuts for you to hear.

Starring Johnny Simmons, Amy Landecker, Jason Schwartzman, Frankie Shaw, Noël Wells, Beverly D’Angelo, and Talia Shire, the story centers on young, struggling musician Monty Fagan who dreams of opening a piano bar, but doesn’t have the money to make it happen.
