For years now, rumors about a “Doc Savage” film have circulated. The peak of which occurred in 2016 when Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson confirmed that he would star in an eventual “Doc Savage” film. However, it appears that the project is officially dead. No worries, though! Because “Doc Savage” lives again, but this time the project is being developed for TV.

According to Deadline, Sony Pictures Television has teamed up with production company, Original Film, to work on a new TV series based on the classic character Doc Savage.

It’s been pretty clear for a while that director Shane Black and Dwayne Johnson have wanted to make “Doc Savage” together, and it was really just a matter of boring things like contracts getting signed.
