In a recent interview with Bloody Disgusting, discussing her upcoming film, “Lisa Frankenstein”— directed by Zelda Williams and releasing in theaters on February 9—the Academy Award-winning screenwriter (“Juno”) reflected back on the picture and said she would love to do a sequel to “Jennifer’s Body,” the 2009 horror comedy from director Karyn Kusama starring Megan Fox.

However, according to Variety, Fox has teamed up with acclaimed screenwriter Diablo Cody for a new remake of a popular TV series from 40 years ago. And given the subject matter, it looks like now seems like the perfect time to revisit “Alice.”

“Alice,” itself a TV spin-off taken from Martin Scorsese‘s 1974 film “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” starring Ellen Burstyn and Kris Kristofferson, tells the story of a Long Island housewife, Alice, that leaves her horrible husband and hits the road to find a life of her own.
