Instead, WB has decided it will wait four years for “Aquaman 2.”

As you probably saw earlier this week, Forbes ran an exhaustive piece on the DC Extended Universe over at Warner Bros. and we parsed new rumors about Margot Robbie‘s Harley Quinn movie and “Birds Of Prey.” Specifically, some reports that refute recent trade accounts that posited how Harley Quinn would join the “Suicide Squad” film by James Gunn nor would there be a crossover with the still-in-the-works-apparently “Gotham City Sirens” which is another girl-group superhero film by David Ayer.

We’ve known about Joss Whedon‘s upcoming “Batgirl” movie for just about three weeks now, and shockingly, no additional details about the film have come to light. “It is a little early to tease anything besides the existence of it,” Whedon recently told Entertainment Weekly, suggesting that his few years away from the superhero game have made him a little rusty. Since when do you need to have actual news — you know, casting announcements, plot synopses, test footage — to tease a superhero movie?

LAS VEGAS – It’s been a long time since Marvel Studios and Disney got theater owners excited with a glimpse of new footage from their films let alone trekked some of their big stars to Sin City to walk the CinemaCon stage. Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are happily not following that model. During Warner Bros.’ almost two hour presentation the studio dedicated the final act to its fledgling superhero universe, unveiling complete scenes from this summer’s “Wonder Woman,” a concept art trailer for 2018’s “Aquaman” and some new shots thrown into an extended trailer for “Justice League,” arriving at a cineplex near you this Thanksgiving.
