In a massive three-hour presentation last night in Anaheim, California, Disney brought down the house with an enormous presentation of Marvel Studios projects, Lucasfilm series and movie updates, plenty of Pixar announcements, and many Disney and 20th Century Studios films.

A return to Pandora is on the horizon. Disney really went for broke during their D23 Expo. Filmmaker James Cameron took to the stage to tease “Avatar 3” and the director revealed a new title for the movie, “Avatar: Fire And Ash.”

“I came 7,000 miles from New Zealand for this,” Cameron told the crowd, but wasn’t ready to unveil any new footage yet.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige hit the D23 stage on Friday night in Anaheim and revealed a taste of “Captain America: Brave New World,” a hello from the cast of “Fantastic Four,” and trailers for “Agatha All Along,” “Ironheart,” and “Daredevil: Born Again.” While only “Agatha All Along” was put online, let’s say we’ve had a chance to see all the footage.

In the past decade, Disney has had immense success by turning all its animated classics into action films. The latest iteration of that model continues with “Snow White,” a live-action musical reimagining of the classic 1937 film “Snow White And The Seven Dwarves.” Coming to theaters on March 21, 2025, Disney released a new teaser trailer for the film at D23.

ANAHEIM – Tom Holland was at the D23 Expo to talk to Disney fans about his new upcoming Pixar film “Onward” but it was his comments about the character he’s most known for that made the most news.  A character that just happens to be at the center of a dispute between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures after the $1.1 billion success of “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”

The now 23-year-old actor initially ad-libbed his departure from the D23 stage by stating, “Hey, it’s been a crazy week but I want you to know I am grateful from the bottom of my heart and I love you 3,000.” That “Avengers: Endgame” reference seemed to indicate that Holland might still be trying to use his leverage (he reportedly has an option on a third solo film)  to get both studios back to the bargaining table to collaborate on a third picture.

Yesterday, Marvel dazzled audiences with their D23 appearance and revealed three new limited series for Disney+—“Ms. Marvel,” “She-Hulk,” and “Moon Knight.” All three are new characters never before seen on the big screen, and this was quite exciting for Marvel fans. Today, however, Marvel film’s presentation was much more muted. Fans expecting a barrage of news were left somewhat disappointed.

Friday evening Disney + took the streaming world by storm with its two-hour presentation at D23 Expo, and it was the first moment the sheer amount of IP’s the Mouse owns genuinely sunk in. While the talk of Marvel‘s time on stage Friday night in Anaheim at the D23 Expo mainly centered around its new show announcements – “Ms. Marvel,” “Moon Knight,” and “She-Hulk” – the audience was treated to a bit more insight into “What If…?,” “Loki,” “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” and “WandaVision.” President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, showed a clip from Marvel Studios’ first venture into animation with “What If…?” and the studio chief promised that for every Marvel movie released so far, there would be one counterpart episode of “What If…?.” He said he series would capture everything audiences get from the Marvel movies but in animated form and the clip that followed delivered on that promise.

Don’t @ me, just being real. They’re great, of course, but not Cap, Iron Man, Thor, or Black Widow, right? So, Marvel Studios is going to make “WandaVision” must-see TV by filling out the cast of the series with some incredible actors.

Just as live-action Disney remakes ran the risk of becoming extremely stale in the wake of “The Lion King,” the ‘”Lady and the Tramp” remake for Disney+ picked up steam. It became apparent that adorable rescue dogs, voiced by celebrities, would be the focus of the new Disney+ exclusive movie. With Monte the mutt playing the Tramp, this remake is, if nothing else, sure to be an adorable experience.
