Even though the soundtracks are basically “That’s What I Call Indie Rock” greatest hits compilations for Wal-Mart, Alexandra Patsavas and her team at Chop Shop have managed to wrangle some great exclusive tracks for the series, with Thom Yorke’s “Hearing Damage” and Lykke Li’s “Possibility” from “Twilight: New Moon” being particular standouts.

We certainly never did, but then again, we still have yet to see”Kung Fu Panda” (and while we hear it’s very entertaining and enjoyable, we may have missed that boat and may just wait for DVD). We never did hear much chatter about the film other than it was good, that “The School of Rock” actor and The Gnarls Barkley soulman had teamed up and its impressive box-office numbers, but then it seemed to all go quiet.

Written and performed by Carl Douglas, the song became an instant chart hit, and shot to #1 in both the U.K. and U.S. in 1974. The new collaborative cover will contain new lyrics and will be the first single off the soundtrack due May 27 digitally.
